CHS Insurance employees in Inver Grove Heights, Minn., The Woodlands, Texas, and Indianapolis, Ind. demonstrate what it means to make a difference in the communities where they live and work. From sorting groceries at food shelfs to delivering meals to homebound senior citizens, CHS Insurance employees exercised their days of service opportunity to meet specific local needs.
“CHS Days of Service promotes our unique company culture by bringing everyone together to share ideas and work towards a common goal of giving back to our communities,” says Deb Arocho, CHS Insurance supervisor property, casualty. “The volunteer spots fill up quickly each time there’s a new opportunity for our team.”
CHS Insurance employees in Inver Grove Heights have contributed time to Progressive Ag Safety Day, Feed My Starving Children, Neighbors Inc., Habitat for Humanity and a variety of individual projects recently. CHS Surety in The Woodlands volunteers time through Meals on Wheels and Montgomery County Food Bank and by hosting a quarterly bingo event at a senior center.
“I consider it a privilege to work for a company like CHS that allows us the opportunity to give back to our community,” says Misty Witt, CHS Surety account manager. “I think we look forward to hosting bingo as much as the group enjoys having us there.”
The other small CHS Insurance office in Indianapolis also commits time and talent to The Cupboard Food Pantry by helping shop for food and organize food shelves. No matter the size of the location, CHS Insurance employees continue to give back to their communities.
“Our team spoke about what a humbling experience it was to help those in need and hear their stories,” says Donna Reynolds, CHS Insurance Indianapolis supervisor property, casualty. “We enjoyed it so much we plan to volunteer there again.”
